The Gantry is a trendy, modern hotel in Stratford, East London, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. It is situated in the heart of the new buzzing hub of Stratford, just moments away from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Westfield Shopping Centre with quick links into Central London via the Central and Jubilee lines.

King Room at The Gantry

There are 291 rooms over 17 storeys with prices starting from around ￡150 with the option to add breakfast. The King Room is spacious at approximately 25-26 sq m and includes the following amenities:

We loved the design of the room with bold blue panelling, pendant lighting, large feature mirrors and a copper and blue trunk in the middle of the room.

Bar and Restaurant at The Gantry, Stratford

The first-floor Union Social restaurant is where breakfast is served and they also offer an all day menu of smaller and larger plates. Like the hotel lobby, the restaurant is bright and bold with pendant lighting and plush blue booth seating, The inclusive breakfast menu is generous with a selection of fresh juice, seasonal fruits and mini pastry selection to begin, followed by a choice of 5 breakfast items and a hot drink.

The Classic French Toast with Maple Syrup and Fresh Berries was sweet and delicious with two large slices of toast. The Full English is served with pork sausage, bacon, hash brown, mushroom, baked beans, slow roasted tomatoes and eggs of you choice.

Union Social has a sun decked terrace which is a great spot for sipping on a cocktail or two.

Cocktails are priced between ￡11-12 with the menu split between seasonal and classic. We had:

• Zesty Fizz: Portobello Mediterranean Gin, Lemon, Kummel, Orange Soda
• Sumptuous Royal: VSOP Cognac, Violette, Lavender Bitters, Champagne
• Mystical Smash: White Rum, Muju Chinotto, Basil, Fresh Lemon
• Middle Eastern Bazaar: London Dry Gin, Saffron, Cumin Liquor, Citrus

Coupe Bar is open from 5pm which serves a variety of champagne, prosecco and spritzers with seating at the bar and at their own terrace area.

Overall

The Gantry is a vibrant modern hotel in Stratford, East London with spacious rooms, friendly staff and a sun decked terrace area. An 18th-floor rooftop bar will open in spring 2022 which I am looking forward to visiting!
