5* Star Hotel in Lanzarote

All Inclusive Hotel in Lanzarote

H10 Rubicon Palace is a 5* all inclusive hotel in Lanzarote that also offers Bed & Breakfast and half board. The hotel is situated in Playa Blanca, around a 45 minute transfer from the airport via Jet2. The centre of Playa Blanca is a 45 minute walk from H10 Rubicon Palace with Flamingo Beach only 20 minutes away. You can access a boardwalk from the back of the hotel so the walks to the beach are scenic and easy to navigate.

H10 Rubicon Palace Resort

The resort itself is beautiful and huge! There are golf carts to help carry luggage around the resort and assist with any mobility issues.

The double room is large with a HUGE larger than king size bed (its actually two beds put together) and a sofa. The bathrooms come with a bath with a shower and the room has a mini fridge. Each room has either a balcony or a terrace. Whilst perfectly comfortable, it didn’t feel like a 5 star room – there was a some wear and tear especially to the sofa.

The rooms are spread over the resort with only 3/4 high – we specifically requested a ground floor room because of our child which they were happy to provide.

Swimming Pools and Entertainment at H10 Rubicon Palace

There are 8 swimming pools although 1 is only accessible for privilege customers (optional upgrade). There are 3 children’s pools, one which has a pirate shop with a slide which our daughter loved!

When we visited in March, the pools were all generally quite quiet which was just wonderful. There is one that has water activities for adults such as aerobics and zumba which looked fun!

Even better news for this all inclusive hotel in Lanzarote is the fact there are NO sunbed wars! There are plenty dotted around the whole resort so there is no getting up ay 7am to save one – phew!

Entertainment wise, there is mini-golf, arts and crafts, sports, live music and more. There are children’s clubs for 1-3 years, 4-8 years and 9-12 years, all of which are free. There is also a small playground and a sandpit.

All Inclusive Food and Drink

H10 Rubicon Palace has 3 a la carte restaurants – La Dolce Vita Italian, Sakura Oriental and Steak House restaurant. If you are all inclusive and stay for 7 nights you can have 3 dinners in total at these restaurants. .You need to book these restaurants immediately when you arrive to secure a space as they get booked up quickly. The steakhouse was only open twice a week so was already booked up when we arrived.

The main buffet restaurant (Janubio) had an absolutely fantastic breakfast. There was everything you could possible want! I was a little obsessed with the fresh waffles and crepes. There was also fresh fruit, yoghurts, cooked breakfast, pastries, breads, charcutiere, smoked salmon, omelettes and more!

The buffet lunch and dinners were sometimes great but other times lacked variety and the meat was tough on occasion. We rated the pizza and pasta at the Italian and some of the dishes we tried in Sakura were good

There is also a bistro bar open for snacks and lunch, a pool bar with sandwiches, pizza and chicken nuggets and chips, Mike’s Coffee and a food truck in the children area. I recommend the bistro for lunch with its fresh salads and sandwiches.

Bar wise, the main Piano Bar is a gorgeous space right by the reception with a grand bar area and plenty of comfortable seating. It is also has a roof terrace with fantastic views over the resort.

There are a selection of cocktails available including classics including Aperol Spritz, Mojito and Negroni as well as prosecco, red, white and rose wine and, of course, plenty of spirits and beers!

Overall

H10 Rubicon Palace is a great option for a 5 star all inclusive hotel in Lanzarote with its large resort, variety of restaurants and location right by the sea. The rooms aren’t quite 5 star standard and sometimes the food was a little blow par but overall there is plenty to do in the resort and the staff were generally very friendly and helpful.
