East London Restaurants and Bars

Here East is a technology campus with a lively canalside space located in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It is home to several East London restaurants and bars, as well as co working spaces, student campuses and fitness venues. A second V&A East is opening at Here East in 2025. It also features The Yard, a vibrant courtyard between the Press and Broadcast Centre where Here East hosts sport screenings, fitness classes and cultural festivals.

Its location by The River Lea makes it a popular destination to visit. Here East’s diverse nature appeals to corporates, students, professionals, friends, date nights and family days out.

Restaurants in Here East

Thr infamous Breakfast Club with its bright yellow exterior is a bustling venue for breakfast and brunch in Here East. Its menu is diverse offering plenty of choice. We loved:

• Fried Chicken Bacon & Waffles. Freshly baked buttermilk waffle, golden buttermilk fried chicken, crispy bacon, fried egg & gravy. They had run out of waffles so we had pancakes instead – it still worked!
• Huevos Rancheros. Chorizo, fried eggs, grilled quesadilla filled with red Leicester cheese & topped with a chipotle and tomato sauce, black beans, avocado, sour cream, pico de gallo, roasted jalape?os & coriander

You can’t book so get there early!

Randy’s Wing Bar offer award winning fried chicken wings (and they sell their award winning sauces). As well as fried chicken wings, Randy’s has grilled chicken wings and cauliflower wings. Our highlight were the Casablanca grilled wings, marinated in spicy harissa with onions, honey, pomegranate seeds and a refreshing yoghurt and mint dressing. Such a great combination of flaVours!

They also offer a chicken High Tea (epic!) and special deals on Monday all you can eat, weekday lunches and Wing Wednesday.

Here East also features Gotto Trattoria with a seasonal daily Italian menu as well as various food trucks throughout the week at The Yard.

Bars in Here East

Four Quarters is an arcade bar in Here East which is super fun and nostalgic. Games include Ms Pacman, Crazy Taxi, Pinball, Street Fighter and Time Crisis which you can buy quarters for at the bar. There are also bookable booths with Nintendo 65 and Playtsation games. My 2 year old absolutely loved Super Mario and Sonic, which were free to play.

There are plenty of drinks on offer with cocktails averaging only ￡10. If you get hungry whilst playing, Four Quarters also has a pizza menu.

The Lock Inn is a chilled and welcoming pub in Here East with live sport, a pool table, darts and a selection of board games. There are plenty of beers on tap as well as small plates, burgers and pizzas. The pub also has 2-4-1 cocktails from 4-7pm Monday to Friday.

if you are a general knowledge whizz, there is a pub quiz every Sunday evening. Also definitely worth checking our the live band on the last Friday of the month.

Coffee Shop in Here East

Saint Espresso is a welcoming coffee shop in Here East decorated with foliage. Fresh pastries (sweet and savoury) and baked treats are offered alongside hot and cold drinks. You can aslo purchase coffee beans to take home.

How to get to Here East

Here East is situated between Stratford and Hackney Wick with a complimentary electric shuttle bus from Stratford station only taking 5 minutes. It is also only a 15/20 minute walk from Stratford and Hackney Wick stations.
